Off campus

Psi Chi Members: Small research grants ($1500) are available from Psi Chi for both graduate and undergraduate Psi Chi members. Grant recipients will be notified by Jan. 15, and the projects may begin at any time following the award. Data collection should be completed within a year after receiving the award. Researchers in Biology: The Biology Division of the Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) is offering a limited number of travel grants, up to $250 each, for undergraduate students presenting original research results at a regional or national, discipline-specific meeting during the fiscal year 2007-2008. -Sigma Xi Grants-in-Aid of Research: The program awards grants of up to $1,000 to undergraduate and graduate students from all areas of the sciences and engineering. Funds may be used for research (equipment, etc.) and travel expenses. Click here to apply. DEADLINE: March 15, October 15 of each year.


Yarbrough Undergraduate Research Grants: Grants are for NC undergraduates (Fr, Soph, Jr) Research to be carried out during the Summer of 2008 or the 2008-09 academic year, must be a Collegiate Academy member. Robert R. Bryden Graduate Research Award: A $1,000 graduate student grant available for research equipment and/or expenses related to attending scientific conferences. Both the applicant and the research advisor must be at a college or university in North Carolina and members of the NCAS. Click here for more information. DEADLINE: February 29, 2008.
