Workshop on CSURF including personal plan, major fellowship info, and links for essays

Undergraduate Research Workshops

Interested in Learning (or Improving) Research-Related Skills?

Center for Support of Undergraduate Research and Fellowships (CSURF) hosts various workshops to assist undergraduates with valuable research-related skills

Workshops offered include:
Microsoft Power Point – learn how to develop and format a professional poster or presentation for conferences/meetings
Microsoft Excel – learn how to organize data in spreadsheets and develop graphs for presentations, posters, or written documents
SigmaPlot – learn how to use the program to develop graphs and organize data for presentations, posters, or written documents
EndNote – learn how to use the program to organize references and format written documents in various styles (APA, MLA, etc.)
Research Databases – learn how to search and retrieve literature using various search sources (e.g. EBSCO, PsycInfo, etc.)
SPSS - learn how to analyze data and read statistical outputs
• Additional programs by request

-Workshops are held at CSURF, located on the 2nd floor of Randall Library, near the Honors Program. Workshops are conducted by CSURF graduate assistants and can be one-on-one or group format. Workshops are typically scheduled during CSURF’s regular hours; if necessary, individual times can be arranged. CSURF has a computer available for students to access the mentioned programs.
