Mr. Fry reviewed the results of the meeting with the Chancellor and Vice Chancellors. Business Affairs has been authorized to take steps to secure an architect for the Swing Space facility and obtain all permits and authorizations for this project. Budget for this project remains uncertain at this point.

It was noted that space would be available in Warwick Center when the University Union expansion is completed. No funds are earmarked to renovate this facility at that time. Personnel could possibly use the Swing Space and Warwick Center during the Alderman renovation project.

Mr. Davis noted that a stacking diagram is needed for certain renovation projects. This approach will help determine if offices being considered for certain facilities will actually fit into the areas being considered. Infrastructure in some renovation projects will be more costly than others. Mr. Fry will provide the room standards that he used in his relocation model.

Moving Nursing out of Hoggard Hall will create increased demand for lab facilities in Friday Hall. In addition, lab space will need to be found for those displaced during the Friday Hall renovation project.

Mr. Davis reported on construction and renovation projects. He is currently review where the university is compared to where it should be on various projects. He indicated that he needs additional information on the Technology Infrastructure portion of the bond funded projects. The electrical upgrades are currently out on RFP for an architect. He is doing a thorough schedule review on the infrastructure. King Hall now has an architect signed and the Print Shop project has some cost issues to be resolved. A number of questions need to be addressed on the Creative Arts project. Included among these is building location. The Nixon Annex is now underway.

Mr. Fry reviewed information on the Swing Space project. Parking spaces and walkways were added to the list that was provided.
