| Minutes of the November 28, 2001 Meeting | |
Attending: Beach, Boyd, Davis, Dodd, Farley, Fry, Hosier, and Rowell.
The Committee reviewed and offered changes to the draft script for the Lakeside focus group meetings that will be held on December 3, 2001. Mr. Davis expressed concern over the timing of these meetings. Mr. Fry indicated that the intent of these meetings is to collect information about process problems as opposed to concerns about the physical space. Process problems included involvement in design, information flowing from the design process to the final occupants, move-in process, etc.
Mr. Davis provided some information about changes to the construction and renovation timeline. More detailed information will be available at a subsequent meeting. One problem he noted was getting representatives from Boney Architects together with John Jefferies, Campus Master Planning Architect, to discuss the general classroom building (CSC-ISOM) location.
The Committee discussed the use of modular furniture in Hoggard Hall. Decision is to have architect work with occupants to determine if modular furniture is the best approach for each office to be located in this facility. List of Hoggard Hall first floor occupants is to be taken to the Cabinet today for final approval.
Next Committee meeting will be on Dec. 12, 2001 to hear results of Lakeside Hall focus groups.
