ELIGIBILITY GUIDELINES
1. Any 2-year or 4-year college/university or military installation may participate.
2. All participants must represent the same college/university or military installation.
3. Teams DO NOT need to win a State tournament or be a campus champion to be eligible.
4. Students must be enrolled for 6 credit hours (verified by Registrar).
5. May not be on the varsity football squad or have been a profesional in football.
6. Players must present a valid photo ID before participating in each game.
7. Participants may represent only one college team per tournament.
Example: a participant in the Men's division may not play in the Co-Rec division.
8.All other eligibility rules are governed by the respective institution's intramural sports program.
REGISTRATION GUIDELINES
1. Institutions may submit an entry application and registration fees without a team roster form to hold spots for teams.
2. Team registration and roster must be received by Nov. 3rd.
3. Teams must submit the following forms: Entry Application, Roster and Informed Consent.
4. Roster Form: College Intramural Sports Director must authorize eligibility of roster participants. The Registrar must verigy the student status and enrollment (complete with official seal) on the original Team Roster Form. Each roster form should be e-mailed upon completion. The printed form with the registrar's seal is due at the captain's meeting on Friday. E-MAILED ROSTER FORMS ARE DUE BY MONDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 2009.
5. Roster Addition Form: Teams wishing to drop or add players to their roster, that have submited a team roster, must use the Roster Addition Form. The players on this form must be authorized the Intramural Sports Director and student status and enrollment verified and sealed by the Registrar. The printed form with the registrar's seal is due at the captain's meeting on Friday. E-MAILED ROSTER ADDITIONS ARE DUE BY WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 2009.
6. Teams are required to email their team roster to assist UNCW Intramural Sports with populating the scoresheets. Teams MUST have an original roster or roster addition form bearing the Registrar's seal on file at the tournament.
7. All Rosters are FROZEN at the start of your team's first game.
8. Any request for a refund must be received in writing by Nov. 2, 2009.
TOURNAMENT
The tournament will feature men's, women's, and co-rec divisions. All games will be governed by NIRSA Flag and Touch Football Rules. The tournament wil consist of pool play with the top 2 teams from each pool advancing to single-elimination championship play. All teams are guaranteed two games.
Teams advancing from pool play will participate in a draw to set the tournament field. The draw will be conducted as follows:
The top seeds from each pool will draw numbers to determine which team selects their spot in the bracket first. The available numbers will correspond to the total number of pools. Pool A will draw their number first followed by pools B, C, D, etc. Once all the numbers have been drawn, the team with #1 will select their chosen spot on the bracket. This will be repeated until all the top seeds are on the bracket.
The second place seeds from each pool will repeat the steps above until the bracket is complete.
This format will be used for all three divisions of play.

AWARDS
Awards will be given to first and second place teams in each division. Champions will receive t-shirts, guaranteed entry into the National Championships, and a travel stipend. Team awards will include trophy or plaque and t-shirts. Additionally awards will be given for All-Tournament team selections in each division, a MVP in each division, and the top 4 rated officials will a bid to officiate at the National Tournament.
EQUIPMENT
Teams need to bring two sets of matching jerseys. Footballs and flag belts will be provided. Teams must play with the flag belts provided by UNCW.
OFFICIALS
The tournament has traditionally been officiated by student officials from colleges and universities throughout the southeast. If you have officials interested in working this tournament please contact Zach Gilbert at (910) 962-4116.The MANDATORY Officials Meeting will start at 2:15pm on Friday, November 6,, 2009 in the Fisher Student Center.
