Admitted Student?  What Next?

Congratulations on your acceptance to UNCW!
Please complete the steps below to become a UNCW Seahawk:

  1. Submit your $100 enrollment deposit (Fall, Spring and Summer).   This must be paid before you can sign up for orientation. Enrollment deposit payments may be made online.  Log in to https://luminis.uncw.edu/seaport.htm and click on Enrollment Deposits.  If you do not already know your UNCW User Name, click on "What is my Username/UNCW student e-mail address?" Enter your student ID number (or your social security number). You will be given a 3 letter-4 number code. This is your user name and your official UNCW email address. Your password is your 6 digit birth date (i.e. 010188). Use these to log into SeaPort.
  2. Sign up for orientation with the Transition Programs Office by the deadline.
  3. Look over Housing and Residence Life information and secure your place. (Room assignments will not be generated until the $100 enrollment deposit is paid.)
  4. Mail the Immunization Certification Form to the Student Health Center to avoid delays at orientation .
  5. Take the Foreign Language Placement Test On-line prior to attending orientation. For registration purposes it is critical you take this prior to orientation.
  6. Mail Disability Services Form if necessary.
  7. Mail any final transcripts (high school, colleges, etc.) to Admissions. If Orientation occurs prior to completion of your final term then mail the transcripts upon completion of your term.
  8. Make sure all Financial Aid paperwork is completed. File FAFSA; return award letter; sign master promissory note.
  9. Learn about the Math Placement Test that you will take during orientation.  Brush up on your math skills for the test by trying sample practice problems online.
    (Algebra and Trigonometry)
  10. Students who were dual-enrolled in any college courses while in high school, and/or who were enrolled in an Early College High School program in the state of North Carolina must submit an official college transcript (in addition to their final official transcript) in order for their completed college coursework to be evaluated for credit at UNCW.
