The UNCW Alumni Association recognizes several individuals throughout the year for their outstanding commitment to the university and the community. J Marshall Crews Distinguished Faculty Award
This award is named for a legend at UNCW, Dr. J. Marshall Crews. Dr. Crews held the following positions during his 33 year career at Wilmington College and UNCW; Mathematics Professor, Registrar, Academic Dean, Director of Admissions and Dean of Students. He also created a life long record based on the history of Wilmington College and UNCW entitled From These Beginnings.
This J Marshell Crews Distinqueshed Falcalty Award is based on the following criteria:

Distinguished Alumni of the Year Award
The UNCW Alumni Association presents the Distinguished Alumni Award to recognize alumni who have achieved honor and distinction with recognition and reputations that extend well beyond the immediate environments in which they live and work. The recipients are recognized at the annual Homecoming Awards Banquet held in late January or early February.
To nominate somebody for Distinguished Alumni of the Year please fill out the nomination form and mail or fax it in to the UNCW Alumni Relations Office.
Distinguished Citizen of the Year Award
The UNCW Alumni Association presents the Distinguished Citizen of the Year Award annually to recognize those individuals that exemplify the characteristics of uncommon and outstanding service to the community as well as the University.
To nominate somebody for Distinguished Citizen of the Year please fill out the nomination form (pdf) and mail or fax it in to the UNCW Alumni Relations Office.
