Alumni chapters are the primary means by which thousands of alumni are able to have a little piece of UNCW wherever they are. Chapter functions include social events ranging from watching the Seahawks play basketball in a group setting or "networking socials" around the country. Alumni chapters also endow scholarships, act as a local contact for prospective students, and perform service projects in the community.
The best way for our alumni to volunteer is through developing our chapters and clubs. If a chapter is already established in your area, please contact the chapter president and see how your participation can help UNCW in your area. If there is no existing chapter, consider becoming a contact for alumni in your area – the first step in chapter development. Contacts often generate enough interest among local alumni that an active chapter can be developed.
