| Members of the women's swim team read the report
issued by Provost Paul Hosier on Sept. 29. |
The second investigation into an April incident involving the UNCW
women’s swim team produced no new facts, but the punishment
placed on the program has been lightened. Provost Paul Hosier announced
during a Sept. 29 news conference that his findings were consistent
with the original investigation conducted by the Division of Student
Affairs during the summer. His report also confirmed that some of
the team’s activities during an “initiation week”
were in violation of the school’s policy on hazing. Read the
report.
