The UNCW Office of Cultural Arts presents the headliner for this year's Masters Series, the incomparable Jessye Norman, Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010 at UNCW's Kenan Auditorium. Hailed as one of the most respected musicians of her generation, Norman will perform a solo recital entitled American Masters.
A native of Augusta, Georgia, soprano Jessye Norman is acclaimed as one of the preeminent vocalists of our time. The four-time Grammy Award winner possesses one of the most powerful and eloquent voices of this or any age.
Revered
for her magnetic and dramatic on-stage persona, Norman has performed at the finest opera houses and concert halls in the world. She is the recipient of a Grammy Lifetime
Achievement
Award and a Kennedy Center Honor, the nations highest honor in the performing arts.
On Sunday, Feb. 14, Norman will perform a solo recital featuring the music of American Masters Eubie Blake, Harold Arlen, George Gershwin and Duke Ellington.

The UNCW Office of Cultural Arts presents Jessye Norman at 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010 at UNCW's Kenan Auditorium.
Tickets are $75 (Reserved Section A); $55 (Reserved Section B); and $15 for UNCW Students with a valid ID. Tickets for this special engagement are limited and can be purchased at the Kenan Auditorium Box Office beginning Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009.
