The university's exterior campus signs system helps
to convey the "look" of the university. This includes
new signs and maintenance for existing signs. Signs include entrance/welcome
signs and directory signs that direct people to buildings and areas.
These signs may be externally lighted. Additionally, there are
building/facility signs, which identify buildings by official name,
as well as student activity sites on campus.
A building sign may include the school, programs
or functions located in the building. Additional inclusions are
limited, and focus on information to assist campus visitors, students
and general traffic.
As a department moves in or out of a building, it
is the department's responsibility to contact Applications & Access
Management to inform them of their move, and/or request that signs
be updated. There is no charge for these services. Damages to signs
should be reported to Applications
& Access Management as soon as possible. Costs of damages
to signs may be billed to the responsible parties.
