Campus Services is responsible for maintaining the exterior campus signs system, which helps to convey the "look" of the university. This includes new signs, and maintenance for existing signs. Signs include entrance/welcome signs and directory signs that direct people to buildings and areas. These signs may be externally lighted. Additionally, there are building/facility
signs, which identify buildings by official name, as well as student activity sites on campus.
A building sign may include the school, programs or functions located in the building. Additional inclusions are limited, and focus on information to assist campus visitors, students, and general traffic.
As a department moves in or out of a building, it is the department's responsibility to contact Campus Services to inform them of their move, and/or request that signs be updated. There is no charge for these services. Damages to signs should be reported to Campus Services as soon as possible. Costs of damages to signs may be billed to the responsible parties.
