Biology Graduate Student Association

The Biology GSA is the graduate student association for biology and marine biology graduate students.

• We provide financial support for our graduate students to travel to conferences for student presentations.

• We organize the annual Interdisciplinary Graduate Student Symposium (IGSS) that brings graduate students from different departments together to present their research in front of their peers.

• Along with other university organizations, we provide community services such as taking part in the yearly Halloween Carnival.

• The Biology GSA brings in speakers from academic institutions and science related organizations.

• Last, but not least, we are responsible for supplying refreshments (i.e. cookies and coffee) for the weekly biology seminars.

Our meetings are every other week (check for e-mail reminders) and we encourage graduate students to attend and take part in these activities.  Hope to see you there!
