Plant genomics is the investigation of the entire complement of genetic material, both comparative analyses and in model plant species. Genomics includes structural aspects, such as sequencing, mapping and DNA content analysis, and functional aspects, such as changes in global gene expression, measurement of interactions with the environment, and whole-genome mapping.
