| Murphy serves a secretary of the board and is a member of the Executive, Audit, External Affairs and Educational Planning and Programs committees. Murphy received her bachelor’s in elementary education from UNC Wilmington in 1993. She is an active volunteer at Harrells Christian Academy and works with the youth program at the Wallace United Methodist Church. She has served on the Duplin County Education Foundation and is presently serving on the Duplin County Community Foundation.
