George
M. Teague was appointed to the UNCW Board of Trustees by the UNC
Board of Governors to a term that ends in 2009. He serves on the
Audit, Business Affairs and Educational Planning and Programs
committees.
Teague, who was raised in Morganton, N.C., has had a private law
practice in Raleigh since 1975. He is with the firm Nelson Mullins
Riley & Scarborough. He was a Morehead Scholar and received
a bachelor's degree from UNC Chapel Hill anda J.D. from Vanderbilt
University Law School, where he was an associate editor of the Law
Review.
His community activities include membership on the UNCW Board of
Visitors since 1998.
