ADDENDUM

Addendum to the Online 2009-2010 Undergraduate Catalogue

Listed below are changes that were approved after the posting of the 2009-2010 undergraduate catalogue.  With the exception of the change in the tuition surcharge, these changes are effective with the 2009-2010 academic year.

Catalogue Updates:

p. 33 -- Admissions - Senior Citizens
North Carolina General Assembly Session Law 2009-451, Senate Bill 202, Section 8.11.(b) repealed the waiving of tuition for North Carolina citizens age 65 and older.

p. 38, 82 -- Expenses - Tuition Surcharge --( increased from 25% to 50%)

Effective fall 2010, all new undergraduates seeking a baccalaureate degree at the University of North Carolina Wilmington will be subject to a 50% tuition surcharge if they take more than 140 credit hours to complete a four-year degree program or more than 110% of the required credit hours to complete an officially designated five-year program.

Note: The State Scholarship Program for Children of War Veterans administered by the North Carolina Division of Veterans Affairs will not cover the 50% tuition surcharge. Responsibility for the surcharge would be placed on the student.
