Dr. Stephen J. Pullum is Professor of Communication Studies. He received his Ph.D. from Indiana University and his M.A. from The University of Tennessee. Dr. Pullum teaches courses in Communication Theory, Business and Professional Communication, Rhetorical Criticism, Nonverbal Communication, Public Speaking, and Religious Rhetoric. His book “Foul Demons, Come Out!” examines why American faith-healing discourse has been so popular in the twentieth-century. Dr. Pullum has won both the Chancellor’s Teaching Excellence award and the Distinguished Teaching Professorship award. He is a member of the National Communication Association, the Religious Communication Association, and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. He enjoys playing tennis and kayaking in his spare time. | |
