Carole Tallant, (Ph.D., Louisiana State University) teaches courses in performance studies and storytelling. Her research interestss include the analysis of literature through its performance, the performance of children’s literature, storytelling for young children, and pedagogy. She has won the Chancellor’s Teaching Excellence Award, the Distinguished Teaching Professorship Award, the Board of Trustees’ Teaching Excellence Award, and the Pandion Society Golden Seahawk Award for Outstanding Faculty. She was also named the North Carolina Professor of the Year by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.
