The Communication Studies Chapter of the UNCW Alumni Association was founded on November 9, 1996.  Chapter members support current PCOM and COM majors as well as COM faculty members by serving as mentors, guest speakers, and event participants, for instance, during Communication Studies Day and the Annual Banquet.

ORIGINAL CHARTER and MEMBERS

On the ninth day of November in the year 1996, this charter was established to promote and support unity and involvement among these constituents and their successors and to further enhance the mission of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, the UNCW Alumni Association, and the Department of Communication Studies.
