One of the key components of this course will be the ability of students to communicate with each other and the
instructor. This can be done in the Course Forum. Students can answer questions posed by other students, contact
the instructor at their convenience and attach files related to the course material.
The discussion forum is a database that stores, sorts, organizes, and manages messages submitted by students and
their instructor as contributions to ongoing class discussions. The forum allows participants to read, create,
and respond to messages in a way that "threads" the messages and responses together.
Students will be given assignments at the beginning of the term to help them become familiar with the Forum and
understand its role in increasing the interaction in an online course. |
