Linear and Quadratic Functions
- Lines are equations of the form: f(x) = m x + b. Here
m represents the slope of the line and b the y-intercept.
- Parabolas are equations of the form: f(x) = a x^2 + b x + c.
By completing the square, any parabolic function can be rewritten in standard form
(y - h ) = a (x - h)^2
Included here are animations of one-parameter families
of lines and parabolas.
