The Adult Scholars Leadership Program unites intellect with opportunity, passion with purpose, skill with need.
The Adult Scholars Leadership Program engages seniors with community leaders, experts and policy makers to proactively explores, learn and participate in solutions to our regional challenges. The program provides participants with a political, economic, educational, law enforcement, historical and cultural view of the region; identifies and responds to critical challenges in our region; encourages participants to become involved in community activities as volunteers; and inspires participants to create events that meeting their needs and benefit the community.
Who are adult scholars? You.
Since 1991, more than 450 alumni are helping communities reach their potential. Alumni include government officials, educators, health care providers, volunteers and fortune 500 executives.
What will I learn? Everything.
The Leadership Program provides you with an up-to-date snapshot of the political, economic, educational, law enforcement, historical and cultural forces driving the region, you will:
- Identify critical issues;Employ you unique skills and characteristics; and
- Develop awareness for volunteer and networking opportunities.
What will be discussed? You shape the discussion.
Applicants come to the Leadership Program as volunteers and entrepreneurs, actively providing leadership and service to many community organizations.
What does it cost? It's a bargain.
Tuition includes breakfast, a.m. snack and lunch each day; notebook and handouts; and graduation ceremony for you and a guest.
Feb. 5- March 26• $319 + $20 registration fee • Apply by Dec. 1 Limited tuition grants are available. To apply for a tuition grant, include a one page statement of need when submitting your application on or before Dec. 1.
To achieve a dynamic class, applicant selections are based on life experience, community involvement, professional experience, geographic location, and education.
