Must have completed kindergarten and be 6 by May 1st
Send your young adventurer on an exciting Sea Safari through the four habitats of a barrier island. They’ll hunt for the wild animals that survive in each habitat and discover the 'big game" of our marine environment - all while developing expertise in the field of vertebrate zoology.
Activities include:
- Field trips to the beach, marsh, fouling station, Center for Marine Science and NC Aquarium.
Highlights include:
- Learn how to read a map and compass, how to track and identify animals including whales and dolphins; go birding at the marsh; go seining, dip netting and fishing; simple dissections; hands-on science experiments.
