M.S. (Geography) University of Wisconsin Madison, 1993
Ph.D. (Geography) University of Wisconsin Madison, 2000

Teaching:
Dr. Benedetti teaches Physical Geography, Geomorphology, Soil Science, Rivers and Floods, Environmental Hydrology and Quantitative Methods.

Research Interests:
Dr. Benedetti is a physical geographer with interests in fluvial geomorphology, soil science, and Quaternary geology. His research investigates geomorphic responses to natural and anthropogenic environmental change. Recent projects include post-glacial evolution of the Upper Mississippi River, soil erosion and sedimentation in agricultural watersheds, and the influence of floods on sediment transport in large rivers.
