CT3 Application Process

All Candidates Must:

I. Apply to UNC-W

• Apply to UNCW as a Special Undergraduate Extension student. You can apply on line at www.uncw.edu/admissions
• Send in $60 application fee
• Send in Official Transcripts

II. Apply to CT3 program:

1. Cover Letter indicating your interest in CT3, your military background, and proposed area of licensure.
   
   
2. Professional Goals Statement (maximum of two typed pages) describing your interest in the teaching profession, education and work related experiences related to teaching, personal characteristics, and skills that will contribute to your success as an educator.
   
   
3. Resume summarizing educational background and work / military experience.
   
   
4. Names and phone numbers of three references.
   
   
5. Official Transcript from bachelor's degree and graduate work.
   
   
6. Passing Praxis I Scores (reading, writing, and math).
   All students must take and pass all three parts of the Praxis I before being officially admitted to the CT3 Program. Passing scores must be received by November 1, 2003. Call (910)-962-7444 to schedule the tests.
