- The National Science Teachers Association (NSTA), founded in 1944
and headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, is the largest organization
in the world committed to promoting excellence and innovation in science
teaching and learning for all. NSTA's current membership of more than
53,000 includes science teachers, science supervisors, administrators,
scientists, business and industry representatives, and others involved
in and committed to science education.

- NOAA Ocean Explorer is an educational Internet offering for all who
wish to learn about, discover, and virtually explore the ocean realm.
It provides public access to current information on a series of NOAA
scientific and educational explorations and activities in the marine
environment. The site provides a platform to follow explorations in
near real-time, learn about exploration technologies, observe remote
marine flora and fauna in the colorful multimedia gallery, read about
NOAAs 200-year history of ocean exploration, and discover additional
NOAA resources in a virtual library.

- The Journey North Program (www.learner.org/jnorth/index.html)
promotes the collection of student data through the tracking of a dozen
migratory species every spring, including for example, the monarch butterfly
and the whooping crane. One element of inquiry is that students collect
real data through observation of the migration of species in North America,
and post the date of sighting observations on the website
for other students and teachers around the country to see.
- The JASON Project (www.jasonproject.org/)
is an interactive, online-learning project that offers teachers and
students multi-media experiences to enhance the teaching and learning
of science, math, technology, and associated disciplines. Scientists
engage in on-going research projects that encourage students to follow
scientists progress as they make online journal entries during
an expedition to one of the many natural wonders.
- Shockwave Activities create real-time correlations between scientific
theories and applications that help students visualize, experiment,
and interact with many of the major concepts in science.

- Science Toys: Make toys at home with common household materials, often
in only a few minutes, that demonstrate fascinating scientific principles.
