Welcome to the MIT Program


The Donald R. Watson School of Education at UNCW welcomes you to the Master of Science in Instructional Technology (MIT) program.

As an exciting and innovative program, MIT provides students the opportunity to gain skills and knowledge from educational and applied psychology, instructional systems design, computer science, systems theory, and communication theory, allowing for considerable flexibility to tailor individual needs across other academic disciplines. Students from diverse fields can plan programs which are consistent with their long-range academic and professional goals.

In addition, the MIT program is directed toward preparing students to function in a variety of roles to be performed in a broad range of settings, including business and industry, human services, health institutions, higher education, government, military, and public and private K-12 education

Since Fall 2005, the MIT Program has been offering a new Instructional Technology Specialist (ITS) & 079 Endorsement in Educational Computing and Technology Facilitation (TF) online post-baccalaureate certificateClick here to learn more.

MIT program is pleased to announce offering a new course on Educational Gaming and Simulations. The course will be offered in spring of 2009 (MIT 595). Interested individuals should contact Dr. Albert Ritzhaupt for more information. (11/18/08)

MIT fall Social is scheduled for Dec. 5th, 6:00 PM at Dr. Moallem's house. Children and significant others are welcome. For more information please contact Beth Allred.
