PDS Extended Preparation

Elementary, middle school, and special education Partnership Teachers assigned a WSE teacher intern participate in a two-hour extended preparation session designed to update and assist them in mentoring their interns through the intern practicum semester. Site principals and site coordinators in schools with a cohort of interns also participate in the trainings.

Brunswick Extended Training

PDS offers these preparation sessions in each of the partnership districts shortly before the WSE teacher interns arrive at their school sites to begin their practicum. These preparation sessions resulted from requests by partnership teachers to receive information and preparation covering aspects of the practicum semester that would be beneficial for them early in the internship experience.
