WSE Application & Requirements

New Online Admission Application

The Watson School of Education application is now online.  Log on to your SeaPort account and scroll to the bottom (right) of the Student page to the School of Education Application.  Follow the prompts to complete the application.

Instructions for completing the online application as well as the requirements for admission can be found here.

Watson School of Education Admission Deadlines:
To be admitted at the end of the Fall semester – December 1st
To be admitted at the end of the Spring semester – May 1st
To be admitted at the end of the Summer semester – August 1st

Your application, background questions and test scores must be submitted to the Watson School of Education by the deadline.


Requirements:

Students must be admitted into the WSE in order to take courses numbered above EDN/SED 303. To be admitted to the WSE and Teacher Education Program, students must meet the following requirements:

Effective for students seeking licensure for grades 9-12 entering UNCW in fall, 2009 or later:
Admission to the WSE will require successful completion of SEC 200, SEC 210, and SEC 220 with a grade of “C” or better. This is in lieu of EDN/EDNL 200.  All other requirements will remain as stated above.
