FILM STUDIES END OF THE SEMESTER STUDENT SCREENING!! — 12/2/2009
The Fall 2009 End of Semester Student Film Festival will be held in King Auditorium at 7pm on Tuesday, December 8.
Film Studies majors may submit projects completed in any 300 or 400 level FST course for screening consideration. A faculty committee will select an evening's worth of submissions and announce the program on Monday, December 7th.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE AND GUIDELINE INFORMATION (please follow carefully):
- Films/videos must be submitted by NOON on Friday, December 4th (no late entries will be accepted).
- Drop off submissions in the Film Studies Office, 102 King Hall.
- Submission Format: ALL submissions must be submitted as a Quicktime .mov in the H.264 format. Please burn your quicktime movie to a CD or DVD as a data file. Both standard definition (720 x 480) and high definition (1280 x 720) files will be accepted. - Projects must include the end credit in their video: "This has been a student production of the Film Studies Department at the University of North Carolina Wilmington" No Abbreviations.
- All submission CDs and DVDs must be clearly labeled with the Project Title, Filmmaker's Name, Genre (Narrative, Documentary, Experimental Animation), and Total Running Time
- Type up and include the following information on a separate piece of paper:
- Project Title
- Total Running Time (including credits!)
- Course Name and FST Number
- Names and crew titles of all course-registered student contributors *A short -description/synopsis of the project (25 words or less)
