Michelle Scatton-Tessier has been teaching courses in French language, culture and cinema at UNCW since 2003. She has published articles on contemporary French women writers and French Cinema and Media Studies which have appeared in Studies in French Cinema, The French Review, Studies in Twentieth and Twenty-first Century Literature, Women in French Studies and a chapter in France at the Flicks: Trends in Contemporary French Popular Cinema, Cambridge Scholars Press, 2007. She regularly writes reviews for Film International. Dr. Scatton-Tessier’s most current research and publications center on the cinema and visual projects of French directors Marc Caro and Jean-Pierre Jeunet.
