Online Labs will be available through the course management system no later than the first day of classes.

Do I need to get a physical to enroll in PED 101?
YES. Each student participating in PED 101 must have an up-to-date physical on record with the UNCW Student Health Center (within the last four years). Questions about your physical should be directed to the Student Health Center 910-962-3280. Forms can be found online here.
What are the basics and specifics of Online PED 101?
Details about the online sections can be found here.
Does UNCW offer a military waiver for PED 101?
Yes. Students who are currently serving in the US military and veterans who served for 2 or more years will receive a waiver for PED 101. Upon applying to UNCW, students are instructed to provide a military transcript to the Admissions office or to the Registrar's office if they have already been admitted.
Many military veterans also receive elective credit hours for Basic Training, depending on their transcripts.
In the event that PED 101 is waived, the 2 credit hours are not awarded- students are merely exempt from taking the class. However, in the event that the American Council on Education recommends that veterans receive elective credit hours, the hours will go towards the 124 semester hours needed to graduate.
How can I find out if a course I took at another institution substitutes for PED 101?
Email a course description and syllabus from the other university to the PED 101 Coordinator, Dr. Cara Sidman, at sidmanc@uncw.edu She will email the decision of approval or denial.
