NMR Research Associate/Facility Manager

The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry (www.uncw.edu/chem) invites applications for an NMR facilities manager with demonstrated technical expertise, beginning January 2010. The successful candidate is expected to train and supervise NMR use for faculty and students and perform NMR experiments in the context of independent or collaborative research with faculty. Involvement in teaching, particularly in our advanced NMR course is expected. Expertise with additional advanced instrumentation and a willingness to assist students and faculty in its use would also be of interest, but NMR experience and expertise is the primary consideration.  A Ph.D. is required.  Review of applications will begin November 30, 2009 and continue until the position is filled.  Application materials, which must include a letter of application, CV, and contact information for three professional references, must be attached to the online application process -- not e-mailed, mailed or faxed.
