HEAD COACH – MEN’S GOLF

The University of North Carolina Wilmington is seeking applicants for an 11 month position for Head Men’s Golf Coach.  UNC Wilmington is an NCAA Division I program and member of the Colonial Athletic Associations (CAA). This position provides leadership and is responsible for the overall coaching, management and administration of the program.  Primary responsibilities include recruitment with athletic scholarships, monitoring academic progress, promoting graduation of student-athletes and preparing student-athletes for life after intercollegiate sports. The Head Coach is responsible for development, organization and administration of the men’s golf program within a budget, team travel and recruiting monies for student-athletes, and fundraising to increase scholarships. Adheres to and enforces all policies and procedures of the department and university, as well as the rules and regulations of the CAA and NCAA. Participates in university, civic and public relation activities for the promotion of men’s tennis. *Qualifications: Master’s Degree preferred; 2-4 years coaching/playing experience at the Division I level; intercollegiate Division I coaching experience preferred.  Candidate should have successful recruiting experience, and knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.  Effective written and verbal communication skills are required.
