Faculty & Staff Employee Assistance Program
We recognize that employees are our most valuable asset and strive to help them succeed in their careers and personal lives. When employees face issues such as marital or family problems, serious physical or mental health issues, financial or legal challenges, or if they’re coping with tragedy, violence or crisis, it can affect not only the individuals and their immediate family members, but also the people they serve, their co-workers, and the organization itself.
To support the health, well-being, and productivity of UNCW faculty and staff, the university has contracted with Deer Oaks EAP Services to provide assistance to employees and their dependents. Services include confidential employee & family member assessments and self-referrals, management consultations and referral services, fitness-for-duty evaluations and support, crisis intervention services, case monitoring, and a broad range of web-based resources, using an extensive network of behavioral health care providers.
The EAP services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year via a dedicated phone number.
