UNCW Seahawk Kudos - Recognizing Exceptional Customer Service
UNCW employees play an integral role in maintaining and enhancing the university’s mission of teaching excellence, research, and public outreach. Faculty, staff and administrators consistently strive to exceed service expectations. We see examples everyday of the exceptional service and dedication to excellence demonstrated by our employees.
Have you received outstanding service from a UNCW employee and wished that you had a way to say a special “Thank You?” UNCW Seahawk Kudos is a means for recognizing exceptional customer service. Everyone can participate. You may recognize excellent service by simply completing a Kudos nomination form and forwarding to Human Resources. The KUDOS Prize Patrol will schedule with the employee’s supervisor a surprise office delivery of your nomination, balloons and a Seahawk KUDOS mug.

Service Awards
The success of State government in providing services to meet the needs of North Carolina and its citizens is dependent on the efforts of State employees. It is, therefore, important for the State to have competent, committed and dedicated employees to provide effective and efficient services to and for the State.
To express its appreciation to valued employees, the State has adopted a policy of recognizing continued dedicated service through a program of service awards.
The Service Awards Program recognizes employees' Total State service in increments of five years through retirement. For each five-year increment, the program offers a collection of items from which eligible recipients may select.
Employee Appreciation Week
UNCW employees make important contributions to the success of the university every day. Employee Appreciation events are held each year to celebrate these contributions. Traditional events include breakfast, lunch and ice cream social. These events are intended to acknowledge employees’ contributions to the success of the university and reflect a continuing commitment to provide a work environment that maintains or improves employee morale and well being.
