Tammy S. Gordon |
Office: Morton 264 Tammy S. Gordon is an assistant professor of history at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She specializes in historical exhibition, public history, and US social history. She received her PhD from Michigan State University in 1998 and was Assistant Curator of Exhibits at the Michigan State University Museum from 1999 to 2005. In that capacity she worked on numerous exhibits, most significantly a major environmental history interpretation project for the State of Michigan Department of Natural Resources. Dr. Gordon is currently at work on a research project focused on history exhibits in small museums and in non-museum settings, such as truck stops, beauty parlors, second-hand stores, restaurants, and bars.
