FLL 105.    English as a Second Language (3) Prerequisite: Consent of instructor (based on language proficiency test score).  Development of English language proficiency of non-native speakers attending the university.  Extensive exposure to reading, writing, speaking, and listening activities.

This course is designed to help students who are already attending regular UNCW courses in a degree program or as exchange students. Students will practice various academic writing styles, make presentations using powerpoint, learn American slang and idioms, and participate in relevant discussions. The course is appropriate for both graduate and undergraduate students.
