"Local-only" Web Pages
If you are certain that Sammy file serveror a SeaPort group will not fulfill your need, you may try to set up a "local-only" subdirectory on the main or personal Web servers. This presumes you are comfortable maintaining a Department or personal Web page at UNCW . Note: any faculty, staff or students who are on campus or using VPN will be able to view this content.
Sample: See the links on the College of Arts & Sciences Dean Search page.
Password-Protected Pages
Departments and individual faculty may also request password-protected Web directories to share information for certain external audiences. [ View a sample password-protected directory.] This presumes you are comfortable maintaining a Department or personal Web page at UNCW . Usernames and passwords must be 6 characters minimum.
Getting Started
To make a request for an internal-only or password-protected Web area, call or send an e-mail to the Technology Assistance Center at 962-4357 or tac@uncw.edu.
