The Department of Technology Enhanced Learning is excited to offer Computer Based Training (CBT) and referenceware from SkillSoft, a worldwide online training provider. This is a FREE service available to all current UNCW faculty, staff and students.
Included are:
- Over 4,000 IT and Business courses
- An online collection of over 9,000 reference manuals called Books 24x7.
- Courses can be used on or off campus, played live on the Internet or downloaded to your computer.
- Search-and-Learn feature provides a quick and effective way of searching for training topics.
CBT is also an effective supplement to classroom instruction. CBT courses and Books from Books 24x7 can be assigned to students in a class, and reports can be generated tracking student progress. Students can also print a certificate when the course is completed.

To access Computer Based Training or Books 24x7, log on to SeaPort at
using your e-mail username and password.
Look for the CBT-SkillPort link in the "Services" section of the Faculty, Student or Employee tab. These links will take you directly into SkillPort...there's no need to remember a separate userid and password.
