Blackboard Vista is UNCW's learning management system. Blackboard contains collaboration, content sharing and assessment tools that enrich learning activities in an online course environment. The system is hosted by Blackboard, and 24/7 technical support is provided by Presidium via phone, live online chat and a knowledge based Web site. For Blackboard Vista support contact the Technology Assistance Center (TAC).
Online courses typically do not have on-campus meetings and may be taken from remote locations. These courses are entered into the Banner system with the code ONLIN in the Instructional Method field and are identified in SeaNet as Internet or web-based.
Fully online courses may require students to be online or meet in a classroom at specified dates and times. Contact instructors for more detail regarding specific courses.

A significant portion (at least 1/3) of the instruction and assessment in a blended course occurs online. These courses are entered into the Banner system with the code WEBE in the Instructional Method field and are identified in the SeaNet as Web-based w/ class meetings .
