ITSD provides Symantec AntiVirus for all currently enrolled students.  Installing this software on your personal computer will seriously reduce the risk of virus infection. It is HIGHLY recommended you download and install your copy using the instructions below.

 Note:  Due to the large download size of these files, if you are an off-campus student who either has no Internet connection or has dial-up Internet, you may bring a blank CD-R to the Technology Assistance Center to obtain a copy of the software. 

After you click download, you will be prompted to put in a username and password.

Please type: UNCW\your_email_username
(i.e. UNCW\abc2537) and then your UNCW e-mail password.

Before attempting to install the AntiVirus programs, please be sure that you have uninstalled any previous versions. If you have trouble uninstalling, use the Norton/Symantec Removal tool located here.

* Please note that if you attempt to download/install the 64bit version of SAV and you get an error regrading the version or if you get an error regarding a missing file please contact the Technology Assistance Center (910-962-4357).
