Virtual Private Network (VPN) - for UNCW Faculty
The VPN allows for authenticated, encrypted connections to UNCW campus computing resources thru the firewall. We do not recommend you access your local desktop in your office, but do suggest any files you want to access from home, through the VPN, be moved to a shared server (such as Sammy). Any other computing resources on campus will be available through the VPN, primarily the web server, thus allowing you to update and change your website from a location off campus. Please click on your operating system below for instructions on accessing the VPN.
NOTE: These PDF instructions can only be downloaded from a computer on campus. Call the TAC (962-4357) if you are off campus and need access.

The Technology Assistance Center provides VPN support and troubleshooting for the above listed operating systems only. If you are running any other operating system (including Windows XP Home), we suggest you upgrade your OS. To learn how to obtain the software, click here.
