The University of North Carolina at Wilmington is located in the southeastern region of North Carolina, near the historic district of Wilmington on South College Road, four miles from the Cape Fear River and five miles west of Wrightsville Beach and the Atlantic Coast. By car, UNCW is accessible via I-40 and U.S. Highways 421, 17, and 74-76.

Shuttle Service from Raleigh Durham Airport (NEW)

The capital city of North Carolina, Raleigh, is the closest city (2.5 hours driving) to Wilmington with major airport. Since it will be more economical to fly to Raleigh, then travel to Wilmington, the organizing committee has decided to provide limited shuttle service between Raleigh and Wilmington. For a nominal fee ($20 for round trip) and by prearrangement, conference participants arriving at Raleigh Durham Airport (RDU) during the day of May 23 may use conference provided shuttle service to the conference in Wilmington that will return to RDU on Monday May 27 or Tuesday May 28.
