Camp LeJeune and Onslow County

The UNCW Distance Education program provides quality baccalaureate and master's programs to the citizens of Onslow County, including U.S. Marine Corps Base (MCB)  Camp Lejeune and Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) New River.  UNCW's Distance Education program is a model program, collaborating closely with Coastal Carolina Community College, the county public school system, and nearby military installations.  UNCW's Extension Program in Onslow County offers three complete master's degrees (Liberal Studies, Elementary Education and Chemistry) and the last two years of four baccalaureate degrees:  Elementary Education, Criminal Justice, Clinical Research and Nursing--all without leaving Onslow County.  Our undergraduate students complete their basic studies courses from the local community college (or elsewhere, as many are military affiliated), and then complete the remaining courses for their baccalaureate degree through UNCW.  Our classes are held both at Coastal Carolina Community College and aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune.  Our three offices, located at Coastal Carolina Community College, MCB Camp Lejeune, and MCAS New River, show our commitment to serving all members of our community, especially our military community.
