Gary L. Comstock is Professor of Philosophy at North Carolina State University, Director of the Ethics program, founder of the NCSU Bioethics Institute, editor of Life Science Ethics, and author of Vexing Nature? On the Ethical Case Against Agricultural Biotechnology, and a "cautious proponent” of genetically modified foods. Dr. Comstock has held appointments at Oregon State University; is a Member of the Center of Theological Inquiry at Princeton University; has served as President of the Society for Agriculture and Human Values; and has lectured across Europe, the US, and Canada, and in Israel, South Korea, Belize, and New Zealand.
