Regional Engagement Center Conference
Join UNCW staff and students in an interdisciplinary discussion of "Improving Civic Engagement and Public Policy: The State of the Cape Fear Region." The conference is held June 1, 2007 from 8am-3pm at the UNCW Executive Development Center. Amber Morris has been selected for a scholarship/FTE position with NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration).  The scholarship/FTE includes paid tuition (including living expenses) in exchange NOAA overseea a research project that meets NOAA interest and mission goals. Amber will be developing a project through the National Marine Fisheries Service in conjunction with a NOAA advisor and her academic advisors relevant to both fishery science and policy with respect to Marine Protected Areas. She is working towards a Masters in Public Administration as well as a Master's in Marine Science.
