The Staff Council serves the university and the chancellor and senior officers as an advisor on a wide range of issues concerning the staff at the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

This body also serves as a resource of information and a direct link from the SPA and non-faculty EPA staff to the chancellor.

Mission Statement

The UNCW Staff Council was established to foster a spirit of unity, pride and cooperation among staff members by recognizing the leadership role staff play in the daily work of the university. The Staff Council advises the chancellor and senior officers on issues and concerns that are important to staff and supports the administration in the achievement of the university’s mission.

Staff Council Scholarship

Each fall and spring semester the Staff Council awards a $500 scholarship.  All staff are encouraged to apply.  The scholarship has been changed to an endowed scholarship, but it will continue to be awarded as an annual scholarship until the endowment is filled.  more
