Consortial Relationships

Contractual Agreements

Degree or Certification Program in which another institution awards credit

Does not award non-UNCW credit toward a degree

¨      Requirements toward a degree can / must be fulfilled by more than one degree awarding educational institution

 

¨      UNCW unit contracts with outside agency to provide instruction or practical experience for our students (not an IHE, but can be LEA’s, medical facilities, clinical placements, etc.)

¨      Entails a substantial amount of coursework at a different location with credit provided by a unit other than UNCW

 

¨      Educational service arrangement providing a single or minimal # of courses; professional experiences for our students; or access to facilities, resources and/or services.

 

¨      Requires approval by university governance and UNC General Administration

 

 

¨      Final degree could be provided by any consortial institutions (Ex. Pre-engineering program with NCSU)
