Membership Criteria

Membership is contingent upon an invitation from the Nu Omega Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau.

Undergraduate students must:

1. Complete one-half of the nursing curriculum
2. Have at least a 3.0 GPA (based on a 4.0 scale)
3. Rank in the upper 35% of their graduating class
4. Meet the expectations of academic integrity
5. Obtain two endorsements

Master's Degree students must have:

1. Completed one-quarter of the nursing curriculum
2. At least a GPA of 3.5 (based on a 4.0 scale)

Community Leaders must:

1. Be a registered nurse
2. Hold at least a baccalaureate degree in nursing or other field
3. Have held a professional nursing degree for at least five years
4. Have demonstrated marked achievement in nursing education, practice, research, administration, or publication.
